British White Beef Cattle

BWCAA Registered Cattle Are Worth More

Snapshots shown below were taken at the British White Cattle Auction near Bells, Texas, USA on Saturday, October 13, 2001. Pictures taken by Walter Bohaty, Bellwood, Nebraska. Walter & his wife, Nancy are owners of largest herd of British White Cattle in North America. Click here to send them email or visit them on the web. www.britishcattle.com

I'm sure you will agree after viewing Walters pictures that we had a totally enjoyable event, meeting new friends, new members, and new British White Breeders as well as seeing, visiting and renewing memories with old friends. We also had another great British White sale. Catalog is still on line at http://www.britishwhite.com/catalog.htm

Sale Results:
Lot #22 was the overall high selling lot, a cow-heifer/calf pair for $4300.  Nine pairs averaged $3200.
Lot #1 was high selling bred cow, for $3850. Fifteen bred cows averaged $2400.
Lots 27 & 34 tied for high selling open heifer, each went for $2100. Nine open heifers aged from 11 to 12 ½ months old averaged $1800.
Lot # 38 was high selling young bull, going for $1500. Six bulls aged from 9 to 12 months old averaged $950. See snapshots of the bulls taken a few days before the sale. Click Here.
Overall average for 39 lots was $2200.

Interest in registered British White Cattle remains at an all time high as was indicated by the full stands right up to the very end with bidders actively trying for their favorite animal. The high selling bred cow was next to the last one sold.

British White Cattle were sold to breeders from 7 states, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, New York, North Carolina and West Virginia.
