Ranch headquarters is a sturdy little stucco house built nearly 100 years
ago
|
The house is built on the brow of a hill and one can see for miles. This
picture looks South into what we call the summer pasture. The draws and trees in the far
background also serve as a place to tuck cows with new calves during spring storms.
|
Here we caught Mara on the way down from the bunkhouse one evening, barefoot
and hauling her boots.

This picture looks west towards ranch headquarters with the breaks of the
South Grand River in background.
|
Mara with her friend Taffy. Beyond is the small dam south of the house and a
hay yard up on the hill.
|
Justy, Katelyn and Mara are treasure hunting in a cactus patch up on Eagle
Butte.

Dorena is out checking cattle on Old Sid near the storm draw in the winter
pasture.

The "650" is a faithful old tractor that just keeps chugging year after
year.
|
Jonathan climbed the windmill tower to get this shot of the hay piled up
north of the corrals. All set for winter 2001-2002.
